Manual Telemetry

Enable telemetry globally:

export PECU_TELEMETRY=on

STEP 2 β€’ IDENTIFY

Understanding Your Instance ID

The Instance ID is a random identifier that connects your node to its anonymous telemetry profileβ€”no personal data involved.

Support Command

Automatically displays both Instance ID and Support Token

Release Selector

Shows Instance ID when selecting PECU releases

Config File

Stored in ~/.config/pecu/instance.id

Error Messages

Included in error footers with direct GitHub link

Privacy guarantee: Sharing your Instance ID only correlates technical telemetry data (Proxmox version, hardware specs)β€”never personal information.

STEP 3 β€’ REPORT

Open an Effective GitHub Issue

Before Opening an Issue

Ensure you're running the latest PECU release

Confirm the problem is reproducible

Review error messages carefully

Run the support command and save your credentials
